If you'd like to be on the water and explore the area, a canoe, kayak, or other watercraft is a great way to see things from a different point of view. We own two 2016 8-ft Pelican Pursuit 80x Sit-In Kayaks, great for kids and adults alike: ![]() ![]() Each kayak is designed for a single rider. Operator should be at least 8 years old and be supervised by an adult if under 14. A 7' paddle (and paddle tether and a bailing device) will be included with each kayak. If you don't have your own life jackets we can provide some. Note: For our cottage renters only. We own two ATV/Quads, a yellow 2003 Can-Am Rally 200 (176cc 4x2) and a green 2002 Polaris Sportsman 400 (425cc 4x4): ![]() Each Quad can handle 2 riders, but only the Polaris has a 2nd seat whereas the Can-Am just has a cushion for the passenger to sit on the back rack, but it is still a reasonably comfortable ride. All Quad drivers must be at least 16 years old and have a class 5 (or better) driver's license. The tanks will be full of premium fuel (gasoline), so please only use premium fuel if refilling them during your rental period. We have premium fuel available at the cottage to top up the tanks when you return the Quads, which is charged at the current premium fuel rates. If you don't have your own helmets we can provide some, most with a microphone and speakers installed in them. We also have four 2-way walkie-talkies available, and a push-to-talk button is installed on the left handlebar to make communication easy for the driver. Polaris 400 Rates: Single Day= $175, 2 or 3 Days = $155/Day, 4 or 5 Days = $140/Day, More Than 5 Days = $130/Day 2-Way Walkie-Talkie Rates: No Additional Charge with ATV Rental, 1 Per Helmet/Rider. They also have Sea-Doo Personal Water Craft (PWC) rentals available if you want to spend more time on the lake. They can even deliver the equipment to you at our cottage in Grand Marais, or you can bring the equipment out with you using one of their trailers that is included with the rental. |
